Election Day After
Considering that only approximately half of the nation voted,
and of those, only approximately half voted for Clinton ...
it seems as if only 25% of the nation (for those mathematically challenged)
want President Clinton to remain in office and even less want any of the other
candidates to serve instead.
Factoring out the 10% of non-voters that did not even realize that an election
was being held, clearly the winner was "none of the above" or "nobody
proffered."
Obviously the mandate for the luckily elected should be to throw out the
status quo and get back to representing the people.
Obviously the mandate for the non-voters should be that if your elected
officials do not represent you, then you should do something about it.
Start now.
Not participating does not solve your problems, it only exacerbates them!
There is an old saying about the squeaky wheel getting the grease ..........
Or as Pogo so aptly put it:
"We have met the enemy, and they is us."
